Newmarket Model Flying Club

Newmarket Model Flying Club (NMFC) is affliated to British Model Flying Association (BMFA).   The club operates on Newmarket Heath Snailwell where gliders and IC or Electric models can be flown

Our members also enjoy the facilities of a second site at Rowley Mile Newmarket, where only Gliders or Electric models are permitted.  The Rowley Mile site is not operational on Newmarket race days. See the page When can I fly for times and dates.

More detailed maps of both flying sites can be seen on the Flying Sites page.

The club is always looking for new members, both young and old. So if you've been flying for years, or just want to give it a try, get in touch and we can help get you flying. We have club training aircraft, so you don't even have to own a model to give it a go.

Club trainers are on hand on our training evenings to help beginners get to grips with the controls and, don't worry, they won't let you crash. Our training aircraft use a buddy box system, so the trainer can take control at any point during the flight.
